New Merged Folding Token: FANTOKEN

We are pleased to announce our next partner in the Merged Folding platform, and thats Block Label! Block Label is a project for artists from anywhere in the world to easily get their music on digital platforms and services (e.g., Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Tidal). Using blockchain technology, Block Label distributes its profit to artists by the amount of tracks they’ve contributed. In other words, artists own a share of total profits generated by Block Label. Block Label utilizes the blockchain to give artists ownership of profits by using […]

Community Update October 25th

Hi everyone 😀 I have been traveling on the road and it has been really hard for me to keep up with everything that has been going on. But to keep the community up to date, here are the changes and new updates that have been going on since James has left:   Distributions have been really tough for me to do on the road and since our calculation server is different. I have switched distributions for the time being to be every Sunday for […]

Community Update 10/5/15

Hi everyone, we are recently coming off of our first really major issue since our release. Starting on the distributions for September 23rd until October 3rd the calculation server became halted. The exact reason for this was because of a missing calculation. How did a calculation get missed? Well every night at 12:05am EST our stats servers pulls the text file from Stanfords servers to find all the newly credited FAH points. Once in a while the Stanford servers are not ready at 12:05am. When […]

September Community Update

It has been a while since the last community update. Since we are working on larger projects, we will cut the community updates down to once a month as there will not be as much to report as often (unless a big news report happens, then we will post right away). Here is what is currently going on: SCOTCOIN Returns!!! I am happy to announce that SCOTCOIN has decided to once again join the Merged Folding family with another promotional give away! SCOTCOIN has some […]

Community Update 6/7/15

It has been a little while since we have done a community update for FoldingCoin in a blog form. The month of May was a really slow month for FLDC, as the entire team had a lot of personal tasks they had to attend to, but June is looking really good for the FoldingCoin project. So here are the things that have been going on: FoldingCoin has submitted the 501(c)3 application to the IRS and we are currently awaiting confirmation of our tax exempt status. […]

Distributions back to normal

This week has been a little slow for the FoldingCoin team as we all had personal things to tend to. Jona is also out of the office for a week as he is traveling. But with that being said, James was able to fix everything and get the distributions back to par last night. So all distributions and payments are caught back up once again and here is what we had to do: Because the snapshots are taken based off of the previous days work, […]

FAH statistics down due to electrical storm

In a blog posting from FAH dated May 17th, 2015: Likely due to a recent extremely heavy (and unusually rare) electrical storm, we’ve had some server issues last week. I thought we’d gotten them all but we see now that there’s an issue with fah-web.stanford.edu, which serves up both the Folding@home stats and project descriptions. While the stats are being accumulated on a separate server, fah-web is the web server that displays them to donors. I’ve taken a look at it and there’s a more […]

Ending Merged Folding Partnership with POWC

FoldingCoin Inc. has discontinued POWC participation on the merged folding platform. There were repeated violations of FoldingCoin Inc’s policy against anything done in a manner that could hurt the image of FoldingCoin Inc. We regret this action became necessary and thank all folders for their continued contributions.
